I have been training with Jaime since 2005. When we
first started working together, Jaime helped me
prepare for the year-end championships at First
Level. At that time I already had a strong desire to
ride the upper levels. Since then, Jaime and I have
worked together to bring myself and my horse from
First Level up to Prix St. Georges. Jaime played a
key role in our progress, and she has always kept me
very involved in the training process. Jaime has
provided me with many opportunities to improve my
riding. I went to Florida with her for part of the
winter season in 2008 and 2009. She has encouraged
me to participate in clinics with well-known
clinicians. Thanks to Jaime, I have also had the
chance to work with Michael Barisone. Jaime knows
that I want to make a living working with horses.
She has given me opportunities to teach some
beginner lessons and to ride several different
horses- experiences that will benefit me in the
future. I know from experience that Jaime works to
help each rider and horse reach their potential and
accomplish their goals. That is why I have really
enjoyed working with her.

I have been riding with Jaime Topinka Nunn for
almost 5 years, in that time going from a complete
beginner to working on training level dressage, with
the intention of showing for the first time, at
intro level, this season. Jaime has guided me
through the purchase of two great horses and has
taught both myself and my daughter the basics of
riding with patience and dedication, always teaching
through emphasizing the positive, giving us both the
confidence to grow as riders. She has given me a
solid foundation upon which to continue to build my
skills in dressage. I would recommend Jaime as a
great teacher and coach to anyone, without
hesitation.

I am 52 years old and have loved horses
all my life. I rode when I was a kid but only on
trails and had never had lessons until I met Jaime.
I met Jaime in 2006 and began taking lessons with
her on a school horse named Daisy. I rode Daisy for
about six months and loved her and my lessons. That
summer Jaime took Daisy and I to our first horse
show. It was only a schooling show but we won four
out of four classes and I was hooked. Daisy was not
mine so, I loved riding so much that, I decided to
buy my own horse. It took a while to find the horse
of my dreams but I finally did and in April of 2008
began training with Jaime again. She had her hands
full with a young horse and a green rider but she
wouldn't let us give up and she didn't give up on
us. Under her coaching we ended up winning the Great
American Championships at training level in 08, was
5th at the BLM's at 1st level and won an adult
amateur championship in 09 and numerous blue ribbons
along the way. This year, climbing up the levels, we
are preparing to show at 2nd level. I am very
excited and looking forward to the fun this season
will bring. Jaime has been a great teacher, she is
patient and supportive and because of her and Raven,
I feel like I have found my life's passion at 52
years old.

When I first started working with Jaime, I didn’t
have an ounce of dressage knowledge and sat atop a
young, spooky horse. But Jaime, patient and
determined, completely transformed my riding and my
horse’s riding. She is extremely experienced and
effective, using exactly the right tools to
accomplish our goals. Each lesson is unique, and
with her training expertise and upbeat personality,
I always leave the barn with a sense of personal
achievement.

I have had the pleasure of working
with Jaime since October 2009. In six
short months my horse and I have become
more of a team than ever before. Jaime
takes the time to teach how to ride
correctly and learn true equitation.
Her patience is simply extraordinary;
she has a wonderful ability to find the
underlying talent in your horse and
bring it to the surface. Not only is she
an exemplary trainer, but a beautiful
rider herself. I love arriving to my
lesson early and watching her school her
own horses. I feel so lucky to be in her
program, I would never trust my horse in
anyone else's hands.
